New to yoga? Feeling intimidated by the idea of starting yoga? Have particular challenges that may limit you, or just want a refresher on the essentials?
Yoga Basics classes are designed to break down each movement, and ensure we're starting from a stable base. Classes are designed to teach the basics of Hatha-style yoga - creating a strong, safe foundation to explore your practice from.
A perfect way to slow down, breathe, and reconnect with yourself - and others. In an all-levels Hatha style, your teacher will lead you through basic, foundation - style classes, with a focus on increasing stability, strength, and flexibility.
Yin Yoga is designed to be the ultimate "let go" class.
Done at a slow, gentle pace, poses in Yin yoga are usually held for longer periods of time, in order to allow a maximum soft tissue release. The space is heated up to warm, comfortable temperature, to further enhance the release of your muscles, tendons, and joints - easing away stress, whether it be physical, mental, or emotional.
Theresa discovered yoga 10 years ago and completed her 200 Hour Yoga Teacher Training in 2016.
She has also completed training in Yin/Restorative, Reiki and self massage using therapy balls.
Theresa enjoys the complete mind & body connection provided by yoga practice. Working in the scientific & health research industry, she can see the health benefits yoga can provide when integrated into one’s lifestyle.
There is so much more to yoga than the poses and bringing a little bit of this to each class is a great way to introduce all the limbs of yoga.
